My name is Ashley Isbell, and I am so excited return as your 2023-24 Crosswind PTA President! Our new, amazing board of Crosswind parents are SO excited to "build on our LEGO-cy" this year at Crosswind-- can you believe it's been 30 years since Crosswind first opened its doors? Please help me in thanking this year's board for volunteering their time, minds, and creativity to make this year awesome! We have already had a great kickoff to the year with our Summer Movie Night and Back to School Teacher Breakfast, and are excited for our upcoming calendar of events! Please check the calendar in the link above for a full list of upcoming dates and activities. Crosswind Elementary is well-known for its incredible parent and staff involvement, we simply don't exist without you! We hope to be able to count on your continued support. Please consider an individual ($10) or family ($15) membership with the Crosswind PTA. If you are able, please help volunteer with our events, join one of our PTA committees, or help us with other needs throughout the year! We value the time and effort each volunteer gives— everything is possible with your help! As your PTA Board, we will continue to work for the Crosswind school, staff, students, families, and community with all of the funds donated to us. Please feel free to reach out to and PTA Board member with questions or feedback. We will provide financial and program updates as often as possible to make decisions and votes on PTA business matters. Our agendas are updated regularly. Please be sure to follow our Facebook page for updates as well! We thank you again SO much for your support- it is because of YOU that we are able to be a part of the Crosswind family. Murin's MessageFrom the Crosswind PrincipalDear Crosswind Families,
Good morning! My name is Kristie Murin and I am honored to serve as the new principal at Crosswind Elementary School. It has been wonderful getting to meet so many of our families during the New Student and Kindergarten Registration held over the last couple of Wednesdays. I am looking forward to meeting each of our families as we navigate this very different start to the school year. Collierville Schools released the re-entry plan yesterday and families have the option of traditional (in-person) where the student is at school daily or the option of the Collierville Virtual Academy were the student is at home with coursework in a digital format. While we have all been anxiously awaiting this plan, I also understand this plan has undoubtedly created questions for parents. Please know I am here to answer any of your questions and listen to any concerns you may have. I want to ensure our families have all the information they need to make the best decision for their family. To help assist with this process, our wonderful PTA is gathering questions from parents over the next couple of days. I will take these questions and provide our families as much information as I am able to. Please know I am here to serve our students, our families, our faculty and our Collierville community. Thank you in advance for your patience and understanding as we navigate these unprecedented times. Even in the midst of challenges and changes, we are going to have a SUPER year at Crosswind. I am looking forward to working together this year and seeing our little eagles grow and soar! Please do not hesitate to reach out if I can be of any assistance. Thank you! Sincerely, Kristie Murin Principal Crosswind Elementary School (901)853-3330 kmurin@colliervilleschools.org |
